Our Second Home–or the ER

I guess it’s just having a boy, but we have been in the ER/Urgent Care/doctor’s office way too many times in the past five years. I am sure this is only a premonition of what is to come.

Russ was on one of his trips, and Michelle and Dan (who have been living with us) had gone up to visit Michelle’s parents in Midway. It was a Friday night and I was sitting on the couch reading while the kids were playing before bedtime. They were already in pajamas, and I was letting them run off their energy.

They were putting pieces of paper into the box fan in their bedroom and then coming to show me/tell me how hilarious it was.

Children in a state of hilarity + running back and forth between bedroom and living room = disaster/ER trip waiting to happen.

It was about 9:00pm on Friday night when Vincente came running full speed out of his room and tripped. On the carpet. And caught himself on the couch. With his forehead.

As soon as he hit, I jumped up. I knew it was going to be bad. He didn’t pass out or anything, just grabbed IMG_1256his forehead and started screaming. I pulled his hand away to assess the damage, and as soon as I saw the gash I knew we would be making a visit to urgent care. I picked up that poor little guy and headed to the kitchen for some rags to stop the bleeding. I’m not sure why I wasn’t more freaked out. Probably because this isn’t the first time he’s done this.

I was a little flustered, trying to call my friend to see if she could watch Joseline, but when she didn’t pick up and I realized how long it would take me to find another phone number, I decided to walk across the street and knock on my neighbor’s door. Doc was running around outside, and Joseline was standing barefoot in our driveway as I knocked on the neighbor’s door. Chaos.

IMG_1257still under the effects of the sedative

It was perfect timing because my other neighbor who also happens to be the nursery leader (i.e., Joseline’s best friend from Church) walked past neighbor #1’s house as I was at the door explaining what happened. Neighbor #2 took Joseline for me, and Neighbor #1 drove us to the hospital.

Three hours, four stitches, and one dose of conscious sedation medication (that was hilarious), and he was as good as new. And we were all very ready to go to bed.

IMG_1258Vince kept saying “What’s this little light?” or
pulling the oxygen tube out of his nose and saying “What’s in my nose?”
every minute. He was sooo out of it. And it was adorable.

I am so grateful to my neighbors for being so totally awesome.

And grateful for good health insurance – we never have to pay anything from these ER/doctors visits. A huge blessing, since my children seem to be walking disasters.

Puerto Rico – Finally a Vacation

Last time Russ and I went “away” without the kids was when Joseline was about 5 months old and my sister (thanks, Sisty!) flew out to CA and watched the kiddos so we could go on a military marriage retreat in Santa Cruz. Scratch that – we did spend a night in a resort hotel in Tucson, AZ last summer. But that was just one night, and we didn’t do anything really spectacular. Santa Cruz was the last REAL vacation. And that was over two years ago.
We were definitely overdue for a vacation.
My flight got in to Puerto Rico on Tuesday morning at 2:30 am. Russ picked me up, took me back to the hotel, we slept for a while, then he left for class around 8 am. And I kept sleeping. In fact, I slept until noon. It was crazy! Then I got up, ate some cereal, and put on my running clothes. I had a great run on the beach, it wasn’t too warm because of Hurricane Irene, and it was overcast. The sand was pretty wet, too, so it wasn’t as hard to run on the wet, packed sand.
After my run, I showered quickly and Russ took me out to a market where he bought me a few dresses! I’ll have to take pictures when we go out dancing. The hotel has live salsa music in the lobby on Wed-Sat, and free Salsa lessons on Thursday nights. Guess where we’re going to be tomorrow night? I love dancing!
Shopping was fun, even though we had to drive back to the hotel in a flash flood (I have NEVER seen such horrible traffic!! Peurto Ricans are probably the worst drivers in the world). Plus half the street lights were out (they are still trying to fix power outages from the hurricane – although one store we went to said that their power outage had nothing to do with the hurricane. Sometime their power just goes out for no reason… What?)
So after we braved the floods in the little rental Kia, we decided we were starving (all the food places at the market had been closed – probably because of the power outages) but the only place open near the hotel was Burger King. Against my better judgment, I had a burger and fries. The fries were probably the worst idea yet. But i think today is better.
After that, we came back to the hotel and I switched my flights (effortlessly, might I add – Southwest and JetBlue… how do I love thee?) and talked about the things I had learned at Education Week last week at BYU. Russ also napped for a while, since he hadn’t slept in until noon.
Then Russ’ buddy’s wife, Luzmary, flew in and we met them at Casa Dante for some delicious churrasco and monfongo. The meat melted in your mouth – it was even better than the Brazillian style churrasco at Rodizio’s/Tucanos (which I thought was some of the best grilled beef EVER). It was a fun experience to try the monfongo, and it was actually really good. It was a different flavor and texture than I had ever really had, but was kind of like a potato stuffing? Something like that. I will definitely have some more of that before we go home. And maybe some more of that steak stuff. If anyone has food recommendations for Puerto Rico, let me know. I love eating locally when I am traveling (instead of Burger King… which wouldn't have been my first choice, except no one else was open.
After dinner we went in the hotel hot tub for a while (hot tubbing under palm trees? Yes please). Today I would like to try out the little “in-pool” bar. Virgin, of course. But it just looks like so much fun! After the hot tub we went out and walked down the beach. I would like to say we walked in the moonlight, but it was still mostly overcast, so it was more like a walk in the dark. A few stars were out, and the ocean was pretty calm. It was really nice. And the water was so warm. A HUGE difference from that freezing cold beach in Monterey, CA. After the walk down the beach, we sat on a hammock on the beach and talked some more. Talking feels so good, and I feel like we haven’t been able to talk much in the last year or so. Things have been so stressful, and I think that we have been holding a lot in. It’s great to be able to reconnect away from everything.
Oh, and on our way back to the hotel we stopped at a little local grocery story and I bought some locally grown produce! A star fruit (which I couldn’t resist and ate in the car on the way home!), some bananas, and a mango. I ate one of the bananas for breakfast, and the mango I’ll probably eat later. Russ bought me an avocado which I plan on eating today for lunch. It is HUGE. I’ll probably have to share it with him.
Today we’re going to Old San Juan, so hopefully I’ll have lots of pictures for my next post. Right now all I’ve got are pictures of the view from our hotel room (on the top floor!)

I forgot to take my camera out with us yesterday, but I’m remembering today!
Check back tomorrow for more pictures!

Neighborhood Fun Run

The first weekend of June is our neighborhood’s annual Fun Run. It’s free, fun, and mostly just for kicks.

IMG_0618

This is our first year to participate, but I am sure it won’t be our last. It was really a lot of fun to get out with our neighborhood, and the run was around our neighborhood, so it was perfectly safe for the kids.

They had a 1/2 miler, a 1 miler, and a 5K. I would like to do the 5K next year, but this year I just did the 1/2 miler with the kids.

This year the run was on a drill weekend, so Russ wasn’t there, but we had a blast anyway!

Vincente ran almost the entire 1/2 mile (I was so proud of him!) and I ended up carrying Joseline for most of the 1/2 mile – I figure that carrying a 20-something pound two-year-old would make up for the fact that it was only a 1/2 mile.

IMG_0619

Don’t you love it! And look at that Army haircut
(he wanted me to cut his hair like “Papai”)

IMG_0583Vincente at “parade rest” – don’t you love that serious “attention” look?
What a kid.

And then when people noticed his haircut he would say
“You can call me ‘Papai’”
Ba ha ha ha! Such a funny kid!!

byU

byUtruck

I snapped this photo in Sandy, UT on our way home from a movie. Just a week or so before this sighting, we happened upon a big red truck driving North on I-15 proclaiming a large BYU logo, next to a large Utah logo that was crossed out.

Funny stuff, this BYU/Utah rivalry. In fact, it’s so popular that there is a Rivalry Relay – a 60 mile race for a 6 man team from Rice-Eccles stadium in Salt Lake City all the way up and over the point of the mountain and down to LaVell Edwards stadium in Provo.

I plan to run it. Anyone want to join my team?

Change of Plans

DSCN3516

Remember this list?

Well, this happened, and that list basically went right out the window.

So instead of all those goals, I basically have one for the rest of the summer (and September, in case you don’t still count that as summer):

survive

That’s it. I’ll worry about thriving when I get to Arizona and I’m with my sweet supporter and confidant.

I may try to run a half marathon in Arizona, but it’s more likely that I wait until October and run the Provo Halloween Half Marathon.

For the next two weeks while I’m still here in Arkansas, I will take it easy, run if I can, not run if I can’t, continue my yoga practice, maybe play some more violin, and enjoy spending time with my kids and those sweet puppies (did I mention how sweet and good those puppies are? Well, they are).

Maybe I’ll even get started on Joseline’s quilt. I’ll definitely work out the design for Vincente’s quilt.

I’ve been a little frustrated at the need to change my plans (I am a serious planner... like, probably OCD about having plans. Ask my husband, I wouldn’t even consider marrying him until he had a 10 year plan). I think I married the right guy, though, because Russ is always talking about how you shouldn’t plan stuff because you never know what’s going to happen and life may change. I say you should plan stuff, because otherwise you’re like Alice in Wonderland.

So Russ and I have been great for each other – since we’ve been married, he’s been a better planner, and I’ve been more flexible. Which means although I was a little frustrated, I moved on without too much hesitation.

And now here I am – with new plans for the future.

Wednesday Wanderings – DeGray Lake State Park, and some other places

Many of you may already know that on Saturday I ran That Dam Night Run 5K in Arkadelphia, AR at DeGray Lake State Park.

DSCN3461Well, for the record, I finished 68/821 with a time of 26:08.41. Not quite my goal of 25min, but I’m going to run another 5K on Aug 21 – and I WILL do it! I’m SO close! And I’ll try to get more than 4 hrs of sleep the night before, and wear socks. Oh, and not roll my ankle two weeks before.

The run started kind of late, so it was mostly dark by the time we got to the dam. but the view was really pretty anyway. A bunch of people had parked(?) their boats below the dam and cheered us as we ran across the dam. It was kind of neat.

Before the run, my mom and I took Joseline and Vince to swim in the lake. They have a nice day use area with two different “beaches” (sand that has been trucked in to the lake and dumped on the side of the lake to make a “beach”). The water is pretty warm, since it has been nearly 100 degrees for the past several weeks. And if you go out into the deep water, the top 6” – 1’ of water is warm, and then everything under that is refreshingly cold. The lake is murky, of course... since it’s a lake. On the bright side, no sharks to worry about. No waves, either (or undertow). So a pretty safe place to play with the kiddos.

Vincente and Joseline loved the water, of course. You do have to pay to get in to the day use area - $1/person (adults) up to $4/car. We paid $2. We swam, and then mom dropped me off at the race, and took the kids back to the beach to eat fresh fruit we bought on the way out from one of the many produce stands dotting the highways of Arkansas.

Afterward, we drove up to Hot Springs and filled up about seven 5 gallon jugs full of hot spring water (that’s what we drink around here and I LOVE it! We don’t drink it hot, of course, we put it in the water dispenser/cooler thing). The city of Hot Springs has little “water stations” throughout the downtown district where anyone can just come fill up their containers full of hot water. It’s pretty awesome. And can you say free water?

On our way to fill up the water we stopped by Dairy Queen. We got food and shakes and Blizzards. It was fabulous, since I was starving, having not eaten since looong before the race!

In all it was a nice little trip, and Lake DeGray was fabulous as usual.

Ratings:

Value -5star

Well, since the water at Hot Springs is free, and the Lake only cost $2, I have to say this was a pretty decent value.

Location -4star

Four stars because is is far away from Little Rock (well, only about an hour) – but it is a gorgeous location. We actually had our JTSmith family reunion here one summer years and years ago. So, there are camping facilities, too (and boat docks/marinas/etc – you can rent barges and other boats).

Fun Factor - 4star

Four stars because I love being at the lake, but I realize not everyone feels the same way I do. You kind of make your own fun when you’re out “in the wild.” The company probably makes it the most fun.

What’s Up, Doc?

I am going to design a header for our Family History website! I’ve already been thinking about all kinds of cool things to do. It’s going to be fun.

Word on the street is that we’re also going to have a blog on the website! That will be fun, too.

I’ve been tutoring more for tutor.com. You should check it out.

They’re hiring right now in the following subjects:

· Math Subjects
o Algebra 2
o Geometry
o Trigonometry
o Calculus
o Statistics
· Science Subjects
o Earth Science
o Biology
o Chemistry
o Physics
· Humanities
o English and essay writing tutors who can tutor on Sundays and between the hours of midnight and 3:00 AM Eastern time

It takes a little while to complete the application process (you have to take some subject tests, submit a background check, etc). If you have any questions, let me know. I like it.

I have also been running, doing yoga (Namaste!), and doing a crazy workout in the morning (Basic Training style workout – it’s pretty intense, and Danielle is like a Drill Sergeant. Whoa.)

Trying to keep up with my goals and stuff. I was a little lazy today, but I did take the kids to the pool (oh yeah, we go to the pool pretty much every day except Sunday – for obvious reasons – and Monday, because it’s closed). And I took (and passed) the test to tutor Geometry at Tutor.com. I’m going to take the Algebra, Trig, and Physics tests next. Hopefully I can keep up all my math skills. I still want to start teaching next fall. *crossing my fingers!*

So yeah, that’s basically what’s up around here. Just keeping my head above water and trying to swim to the other side. Hopefully getting a tan and building some endurance (physical as well as spiritual) on the way...

...see you on the other side.

The New Do

Before my hair met Christopher:

hairbefore

(this photo was actually about a month and a half ago, so my hair was probably a good 1/2” to 1” longer than this – yes, my hair grows that fast)

After my hair met Christopher:

DSCN2718

(the tan is from the 5K + 1K I ran yesterday. I didn’t even realize I got so much sun. I’m just grateful the kiddos didn’t burn, because we totally forgot sunscreen! I can’t wait to see my skin at the end of the summer! Basically I’m going to be hott! ;)  )

So there it is. Becca with a short “do.” It’s bee, I dunno, 12-13 years since my hair was this short. I just don’t really care for the short do’s. It’s still just long enough to pull back into a pony, too! A very very short pony, but a pony, so pulling it back to run and workout won’t be a pain.

Bring on summer!

Keeping Busy

We’ve got a full summer ahead of us! Which is great.

This Saturday is the Museum of Discovery’s Discovery Fest and DinoDash! (a 5K/1K to raise money for the museum). Then next week is Riverfest (Yay!) and the community pool opens! I just bought our pool pass/fitness club pass today. It was actually pretty cheap, since it’s just me – the kids are free at the pool. I’m also going to pay for the fitness classes. And I signed Vincente up for swim lessons!

So, we’ve got the DinoDash, Riverfest, then we’re doing a neighborhood yardsale on the 5th, then I’m going to go with my BFF to take bridal portraits (yay, Meg!) and then we go to UT for Christy’s wedding, then we come back for a few weeks, then we go to AZ for 4th of July festivities, then we come back, then Vince takes swim lessons, then Meg gets married at the end of July, then August, then September, then RUSS! Still got to figure out how to fill up August and September. I’m sure I’ll figure something out.

In the mean time, my weekly activities will involve running (gotta get ready for the 20K in Sept!), going to the gym (yoga from my old seminary teacher, then I’m going to try out some other random fitness classes to find a few I like) then going to the pool ALL the time (we’re basically going to live at the pool). At some point I’m going to get my hair cut. And I’m going to learn Bach's Partita No 3 on the violin and play it at a recital in the fall before we leave. Oh yeah, and don’t forget the Children’s Theater! That’s going to be a good chunk of the first half of the summer, too.

And hopefully I’ll start tutoring again some next week. I just need to feel settled in. And having some contact from Russ would help. I’m starting to just treat it like Basic. Maybe he’ll call, maybe he won’t, and if he does, it’s only once a week. I’m sure he’s super busy. Plus, Russ is the kind of guy that doesn’t always call. Not because he’s no thinking of us. He’s just not a “calling on the phone” kind of guy. He’s praying for us and thinking of us constantly, I know. It’s just nice to get that phone call every now and then.

Well, I promised Vincente that I would take him shopping to buy goggles for his swim lessons. He’s pretty excited. Maybe we’ll go tomorrow.

I also have to go to Savers and see if I can find a rock and roll t-shirt to wear in the “Rock-n-Stroll” 5K next weekend at Riverfest. Since I don’t want to dress up like a rock star (can you see me looking like Bon Jovi? Wow)

I’ll try to remember to keep batteries in my camera so I can capture all our fun events over the next few months. And chronicle them here on my blog. And eventually try to use Photoshop and scrapbook a little 8-o

Ha – that’s what I’ll do in August and September – scrapbook! Play Catch up. Maybe get some books printed. Sweet.

My Wonderful, Fabulous, Amazing, Very-Good Day!

Today I woke up at 5am.

Did some stretches (i.e. Yoga… it felt great) (did I tell you that my quads feel as if they have been mauled? More about that later… ),  studied the scriptures, blogged a bit, went for a three mile run, did some laundry, took the kids to story time, checked out books from the library, ate lunch, played with the kids outside, went to the chiropractor (really needed that!), ate Coldstone ice cream with my sweetheart (the best part was being with my sweetheart), did some more laundry, made dinner, had FHE with the babies, tutored for an hour, and now… I am going to get in my jammies and snuggle with my sweetie again while we watch a movie.

What a great day!

What did you do today?

Fail, or Quit?

I am back living with my in-laws. It's great, they are fabulous, I love them to death!

I miss my friends in CA. I miss having that great relationship with people nearby. I REALLY miss running with Deann. Well, we never ran together, but we did a running/kid swap (I watched her kid while she ran, then she watched mine while I ran). It worked out really well, and I was consistent, and because I was consistent, I was able to improve.

I felt like I was achieving something. I was climbing a mountain and getting closer to the top. It was a great feeling. I just felt AMAZING. And happy. I feel happy when I run. Something about those endorphins, I'm sure.

So I made a goal. I want to run a half marathon at the end of the summer. 13 miles. I just KNOW I can do it. Well, I knew I could do it back in CA when I was running three times a week, usually 9-10 miles a week. I just knew I could do it. If I kept running like I was running, and climbing that mountain, I would make my half marathon goal, I would!

Enter moving to UT.

So, no longer do I have Deann to run with :( So that means I don't run as often. I would ask my MIL to watch my kids for me to run (and she would do it) but I feel bad asking her to do any more. We're already mooching enough, living in their house. I just don't want her to feel like she has to raise my kids, too. I have nothing to give back, because she doesn't need anything from me. Except for me to keep my kids quiet so she can nap. But that's not really me doing anything anyway, since we're already in the way making noise so she can't nap. That means that me keeping the kids quiet is simply undoing the damage I've already done by having my kids here.

Let me clarify - my MIL does not make me feel bad for living here. It's something I do all to myself.

But anyway, so I haven't been running. We've been here for nearly 3 weeks, and I've ran a total of 3 times, for a total of about 5 miles. Yeah. Lame. Well, first off, the altitude is higher here anyway, so I knew it was going to take some adjusting.

On top of that, I live too far away from anyone really to take advantage of friends who want to do swaps with me. And I live at my in-laws, so it's not really great to have MORE kids here... which would mean that I would always been driving long distances to get to someone else's house. Lame.

So I'm faced with a horrible moral dilemma.

Do I quit my training? (for now... I would pick right back up where I left off if I can find someone close to watch the kids, or when I am in AR) Or do I just keep trying to train, and fail miserably?

I'm not a quitter, and I can't stand failure.

So what do I do? I don't have a good answer. Maybe you do?

Long Time

DSCN1698

It’s been a while, and I’ve been taking too many pictures (again!) but I’ve decided to start only posting my very favorite pictures or the pictures that go along with a particular story/event I want to share. And then not spend so much time talking about the stuff that went on. I’d like to … but my life is probably not nearly as interesting as the pictures are cute :)

100_2516

I’m going to work more on scrapbooking and eventually I’m going to start printing pictures to hang in our home (this fall… when we have a “home”)

DSCN1835

Anyway, life has been very eventful this month. My parents came to visit, we went to the aquarium with them, the farmers market, and did a bazillion other things.

DSCN1757

DSCN1663 Now we’re getting ready for yard selling and moving and such.

DSCN1683

DSCN1715

I can’t believe our time here is almost finished.

DSCN1734 DSCN1742

We’ll be moving back to UT on March 1 (well, me and the babies) – but those plans are kind of tentative… they’ve changed at least 4 times since the beginning of the year…

100_2493

Then it will be job hunting for me, graduation for Russ from DLI on April 1 (which I may or may not attend… he said he doesn’t care as much about his graduation from DLI as he cared about his graduation from BYU – I can’t blame him… bachelor’s degree and 5+ languages vs. associates and 1 language… hmm, it’s easy to see which schooling wins in the “coolness” dept for him)

100_2503

In other news, Joseline still does not walk, I speak more Portuguese at home (and have committed to speaking Portuguese to the kids this summer while Russ is in AZ), Vince speaks Portuguese in the evenings and on weekends when Russ is home, and Joseline mostly just giggles. Oh yeah, and makes the “car” noise. Like every time she sees anything with wheels. Motorcycles, cars, push toys, etc. It’s pretty much hilarious. Her favorite toys are cars, and dishes. Good thing we have a lot of each.

 100_2451
And she loves Lightening McQueen. If Vince’s Cars toys are out and she has a choice, she goes for the Cars toys before the Hotwheels. I can’t blame her – they are pretty fun cars.

DSCN1752 Vince goes potty almost all by himself and FINALLY puts his undies back on by himself. I just stopped helping him one day. The first few days he ran around naked because he wouldn’t put them on by himself. Then I started taking away toys/privileges if he wasn’t “underweared” Now he just does it himself.

DSCN1761  100_2505

Russ is getting ready to take the Chinese DLPT on March 20 (another recent for our early departure). He’s doing pretty well in class, but still hates doing homework. I totally understand though. We are SO much more entertaining than his homework :)

DSCN1825

100_2461

DSCN1721 I am mostly hanging out with the kids, marking off my to-do list every day, and SO enjoying my garden which is blooming all sorts of beautiful flowers (the flowers are totally coming with me to UT).

100_2518

DSCN1854 We try to go to the library more often, and I’ve started doing a run/kid swap with a friend – she runs while I watch her 2 year old, then I run while she watches my kids! It’s working out great, and I’ve been pretty consistently working back up to a 10 min mile for 3 miles. I hit it just about on the head on Wednesday, and I hope to do a 4.1 mile loop next week, probably on Friday. With lots of hideous hills. It’s going to be a great run, though. Half-marathon, here I come! I’m progressing, slowly but surely.

100_2443

100_2470

The Post Wide Yard sale is on Saturday (the 6th) and my goal is to make $1000!!! Can I do it!? Better bet your bottom dollar I will!! I’ve got lots to sell, and I have the very best spot on the lot, which is going to be all decorated pretty, and I always have a “free stuff” box, which I’m going to place at the BACK of my spot this time, instead of the front, so people have to walk past all my COOL stuff to get to the free stuff :) You’d think I was in marketing or something.

 100_2448

 100_2452

Anyway, hope you enjoyed the random update and the pictures. Just a few BAZILLION of my very favorites from the past weeks. (Sorry, I wrote “few” before I actually went through my pictures to see how many favorites I had… )

Friday, August 29

wee hours

Maybe my body is just used to getting 5 hours of sleep instead of 8. That compounded with the fact that I'm just finishing my first trimester, so I'm going from the stage where I can't eat anything substantial or I'll puke, to the stage where I have to be constantly stuffing my face with whatever I can get my hands on. So I keep waking up at 3:45 (and yes... it is about 3:45 every morning... not 3:30, not 4:00... 3:45) with my nose stuffed beyond breathability, my bladder so full I feel like I might explode, and my stomach growling obscenities at me. Yes. That is second trimester bliss. I am soooo excited...

Anyway, this morning it worked out okay, because I'm leaving around 5:20 to go to a step aerobics class with my MIL. I've worked it out now so I'll go to step on Mondays and Fridays, run Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, and go for an evening walk with my neighbor on Wednesday evenings. So I've got my life pretty active. Hopefully it also helps me distract myself from the fact that my sweet husband is gone for a few months. I got to talk to him yesterday morning, so that makes three time since he left Monday night. That's pretty good, if you ask me! It's been keeping me sane. I can't wait to get letters. Just the anticipation of knowing that eventually there will be something in the mailbox for you makes the missing someone more bearable.

Experience Life

The Goal

It feels good, usually. The cool breeze on my face as my feet touch the warm asphalt and spring effortlessly into the air. As if there were wings on my feet. I am a goddess, rhythmic breathing, stepping, pounding, sliding through the air. The sun beats on my face, chest, arms, back, heating me, pushing me. Under my feet, the crunch of the gravel as my feet own the road. Farther than yesterday, there is more in me today. I can make it to the end. I can do it. There is nothing between me and my goal but the cool air, the warm asphalt, and my steps, my breath. Then I am there, and it is behind me. I have reached it. And it's only the beginning.

Gratitude

There is nothing sweeter than the compassion of a stranger. Someone who can see the stress, the fatigue. Someone who has undoubtedly been there before. Delaying for a few moments so you can have a few moments. Who sacrifices their moments? Probably a mother. For a mother. To escape the monotony. To relax and be finished. Giving moments. When she gave me those moments, my heart was full.
